Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Comments: When I was a youngster growing up, a number of us boys decided to start a “Girl Haters Club.” I cannot remember who came up with the idea, but there was absolutely no dissention among the ranks as to the propriety of this venture. At least, not among us youngerboys. However, we wanted to build a club house and sought to enlist the help of some adult men. They all gave the same response: “You’d do a lot better if you tried to start a Girl Lovers Club.” Talk about feeling betrayed by your own. Actually, we did not really “hate” girls. We just knew they were different, and I suppose the idea of starting this club was our way of recognizing and reacting to that difference. It is, indeed, a difference that has been wonderfully created by God, and is to be appropriately reflected in our day to day lives.
Worship: Engaging oneself, soul and body, in a personal approach to God in an act of love and submission, in order to exalt Him and draw closer to Him.
Well, after taking a break from writing Jim's Corner I think that it's time to kind of bring
you up to date on just what has been going on around here.
As you can see we have hada few projects completed and some that are still in the works.
•The Social Hall in the church has had the floor painted and this seems to have brightened it up quite a bit down there.
•We have installed new sink fixtures in the rest rooms downstairs and the kitchen floor has been stripped.
•In the Berean Room we have reinforced and raised some of the furniture for easier access.
•Of course all of the air conditioners were installed by May with the purchased of a new one for the Berean Room. I have also padded all the book racks to make a quieter Worship Service.
•Over at BCON Corner I have installed a baby changing station in the Ladies Room.
•A new play field has been installed with top soil and grass under the watchful eye ofChristian Klueg.
•New gym lights are being built and installed by Shawn Darling.

Our August 8, our Sunday evening service was held at our BCON Corner facility, preceeded by a "Sunday Sundae" ice cream time. As always, it was great to be together as fellow believers, and to be encouraged by the fellowship, the praise time, and the ministry of God's Word.
Hiking is a great activity, and we live in a wonderful place to do it. We can hike through the woods and up mountains. We can use well-travelled trails or bushwhack through dense growth. We can pick our way over flowing streams in the summer or enjoy crossing the frozen lake in the winter. Whatever one’s particular flavor of hiking, there is one universal principle: You must be careful to maintain firm footing. I, for one, do not want to break a bone miles from the nearest road. Neither would I appreciate slipping into a stream and getting soaked. Slipping on mud, leaves, ice, or loose stones is always a danger, and it can happen so quickly. That is why the hiker needs to have good footwear and needs to pay sufficient attention to his steps.
